Summary


We are looking for a Band 8a Systemic Family Psychotherapist to work in our Kingston & Richmond CAMHS Tier 2 service, base at Tolworth Hospital and Livingston House. The applicant must be fully trained inSystemic family therapy supervision, consultation and training Course.

Moreover, we highly value the importance of working in a Family Therapy Clinic which is central to Kingston T2 CAMHS. Having time to study and time in Kingston & Richmond CAMHS will enable you to seamlessly put theory into practice, valuing the key ideas of systemic thinking namely the Social Graces and multiple perspectives.

The successful candidate will also offer consultation and learning opportunities to the MDT Team and be central to the development of Family Therapy and systemic thinking.

We are interested in candidates that:
• Are fully qualified Systemic Family Psychotherapists who can supervise Band 7 Family Therapists and other junior staff
• Are registered with UKCP
• Have a primary professional qualification in a relevant health and social care discipline
• Have some training and experience in providing supervision and consultation. Candidates will be supported to complete the Systemic family therapy supervision, consultation and training Course
• Are experienced CAMHS clinicians, able to work safely with mental health and safeguarding risk
• Can manage a caseload effectively
• Can work with a diverse population
• Can contribute within a team collaboratively and constructively

The Kingston & Richmond Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) services provide out-patient and consultation services to children experiencing a range of mental health and developmental difficulties. We are an experienced and supportive team looking for a passionate psychologist or Family therapist to join us.

The services also include a Single Point of Access Service which manages all referrals for children and adolescents in Kingston where there are concerns about emotional heath/mental health difficulties. The Kingston & Richmond CAMHS Tier 2 service, Tier 3 service and the SPA work in close collaboration to ensure positive child and young person journey.

Kingston & Richmond CAMHS Tier 2 is a psychology team specialising in the provision of thoughtful high-quality assessments and evidence-based treatments for children, young people and their families entering the service with moderate mental health problems and with low-risk profiles.

Kingston & Richmond CAMHS Tier 3 is a multidisciplinary team specialising in the provision of thoughtful high-quality assessments and evidence-based treatments for children, young people and their families entering the service with moderate to severe mental health problems and with high-risk profiles.

Locations:

The Kingston CAMHS Service is based at Woodcroffe House, Tolworth Hospital, Red Lion Road, KT6 7QU

The Richmond CAMHS Service is based at Livingston House 2-6 Queens Road Teddington London TW11 0LB
• To provide highly specialist systemic family psychotherapy services to children, young people and their families / carers across all sectors of care; providing evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment in line with NICE guidance.
• To develop systemic practice within the Team and work in partnership with other disciplines
• To carry a caseload and coordinate care for those children, young people and families on the caseload;
• To offer specialist advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care and systemic formulation and practice to Camhs colleagues.
• To work with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist lead, Service Manager and Clinical Lead in leading the work of a particular team or service area.
• To work within Trust and professional guidelines, to a clear CAMHS job plan.
• To support the Departmental clinical governance structure through the provision of clinical supervision in relation to specific modalities of psychotherapy and by providing clinical input to supervisees’ PADRs.
• Within supervision, team meetings and other fora, to support and promote the use of measures within the CYP IAPT framework to evolve clinical practice and enhance user experience.
• To seek opportunities to include service user perspectives in how services are delivered.
