- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 till 16:00
The Best Connection is currently recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join a growing LED lighting manufacturer in Rochester.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in lighting assembly or electrical component wiring who is looking to join an innovative and expanding team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solder and customize LED strip lighting to detailed specifications
- Operate the injection moulding machine to produce factory ends for Neon Flex products
- Read and follow customization sheets and manage tasks via the production planner
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Communicate clearly with the office and production teams regarding job progress
- Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, safe working environment
- Monitor materials and components, flagging shortages in advance
- Use the company ERP / planner system to log work and track production status
- Work closely with the Head of Production to improve efficiency and processes
Requirements:
- Experience in soldering, electronics assembly, or similar hands-on technical work
- Candidates with limited soldering experience will still be considered, as full training will be provided to bring successful applicants up to the required standard.
- Comfortable working with tools, machinery and small components
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to follow written instructions and technical documentation
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new machinery and processes
- Previous manufacturing or workshop experience is desirable but not essential
