We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clients with their daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals, including those with dementia, Alzheimer's, or requiring hospice care. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering exceptional caregiving services.

Responsibilities

Provide personalised care to clients with diverse needs, including elderly individuals and those with dementia or Alzheimer's.
Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Administer medication following prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records.
Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as required.
Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions and emotional well-being.
Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation.
Assist with light housekeeping duties related to client care areas.
Support clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety at all times.
Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, maintaining safe driving practices.
Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when needed.
Document care provided accurately in compliance with organisational policies.
Experience

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is highly desirable.
Knowledge of patient care practices, dementia care, hospice support, and behaviour management techniques.
Experience with medication administration and first aid certification is advantageous.
Familiarity with caring for seniors or children in caregiving roles is beneficial.
Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks as part of daily duties.
