To support this, we are seeking an accomplished, forward‑thinking leader to join our Board for the next 12 months as Executive Chief Digital Information Officer. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape future healthcare delivery through the implementation of our ambitious Digital and Data Strategy and the rollout of the new NerveCentre Electronic Patient Record (EPR).

The CDIO will lead the execution of our digital strategy, including deployment of a unified Trust EPR & PAS system, and provide strategic leadership to digital, data and health records teams. The role will drive a Trust‑wide digital‑first culture, ensure alignment with organisational priorities, strengthen key internal and external partnerships, and support UHDB’s ambition to be recognised nationally as a digital exemplar.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in digital leadership within a large and complex organisation and a track record of successful implementation of a multi-site NerveCentre EPR. To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills as well as a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare.

You will be an effective role model, exhibiting and promoting collaborative leadership behaviours that uphold our values of Compassion, Openness and Excellence, providing strategic vision, challenge and support to all colleagues in the Trust.
