We are currently recruiting for an EAL Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Hounslow. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or experienced ESOL practitioner who is passionate about helping young people develop their English language skills and thrive in school.


Position Details

Role: EAL Teaching Assistant

Location: Mainstream secondary school, Hounslow

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £600.00 per week

Your Role

You will play a key role in supporting students who speak English as an additional language. Responsibilities include:

Providing targeted in-class and small-group ESOL support

Helping students develop confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening

Supporting curriculum access across a range of subjects

Working collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor progress


What We're Looking For

A qualification or proven experience in ESOL / EAL / TEFL / TESOL; such as CELTA, Trinity qualification, Level 5 TEFL or equivalent

Experience supporting learners with English as a second or foreign language

Strong communication skills, patience, and cultural awareness

A genuine passion for inclusion and student progress
