Summary
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture that supports the Charity’s purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to increase morale, productivity and performance.
2. Provide structured and quality advice to clients using the gym facilities
3. Be available to clients for help and assistance at all times
4. Provide individual programmes targeted at the level requested by the client and to ensure clients receive regular updates and programme reviews
5. Remain updated on developments within the fitness industry and new regulations
6. Maintain the gym and its equipment and report all faults and breakages immediately to reduce the impact on unavailable services to clients
7. Assist in ensuring that the facility is to an acceptable high standard in accordance with quality systems prior to, during and after operational hours
8. Provide a safe, clean and pleasant gym area
9. Be friendly and helpful to users and uphold a high standard of customer care.
10. Work as part of a team and contribute to the development and promotion of the centre.
11. Attend training as required and achieve and maintain and relevant qualifications.
12. Bring to the attention of the Manager any improvement that might increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the centre
13. Take classes and activities as and when required, when the person is qualified, or competent to do so.
14. Pursue continuous professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of Inverness Lesiure and High Life Highland as a whole.
15. Attend and undertake any training online or in person.
16. Aim to reduce wastage and uphold our environmental values of being as sustainable as possible in all tasks.
17. Assist and support other areas of High Life Highland with particular projects, training or in the event of holidays or sickness working cross-functionally across the Inverness Leisure team.
18. Undertake all tasks in accordance with High Life Highland policies and procedures, including General Data Protection Regulations, health and safety procedures, relevant checks, reporting any concerns to management to ensure corrective action is taken.
