Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivatedSenior Fire Safety Advisorto join our Estates & Facilities team. This is a critical role in ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors across our Trust by managing all aspects of fire safety compliance and strategy.
You will provide expert advice, lead on Trust-wide fire safety policy, and ensure compliance with legislation, NHS guidance, and best practice standards. The role involves conducting fire risk assessments, audits, and investigations, as well as delivering training and supporting emergency planning.
This is full time post but for the right candidate we will consider part time hours ( 30 hours per week).
· Manage all Fire Safety issues throughout the Trust
· Provide expert, professional fire safety advice to all managers and staff.
· Provide assurance of full Trust compliance with current fire safety legislation and NHS guidance. While the Fire Safety Manager will be guided by current policies and legislation, they will establish the way in which these are interpreted and develop strategies to achieve compliance.
· Receive and analyse highly complex information regarding Fire Safety legislation and NHS/Dept of Health guidance and recommend action to senior management.
· Present complex Fire Safety information to all levels of staff, contractors, stakeholders
· Take the lead on a Trust-wide policy for fire safety, ensuring timely implementation of policy and monitoring all Business Units to ensure compliance.
· Set strategic fire standards for the Trust. Monitor Trust Fire Safety Management involving both internal and external stakeholders. Monitor the performance of the Fire Safety provision to the Trust.
· Keep abreast of all current Fire Safety issues through research and networking and carry out regular audits of each Business Unit/Department.
