Crynodeb
The post-holder will be a key member of the Commercial Data and Innovation team and support the Head of Commercial - Data and Innovation, to develop and deliver the directorate’s strategies to execute the Trust’s Commercial Strategy. They will lead on individual business development activities and deal execution to deliver commercial value from data and innovation activities to the ultimate benefit of the Trust’s patients.
In relation to data in particular, the Trust has an exciting opportunity to lead the approach to ensure safe and secure data access for research at a regional level. The post-holder will be responsible for achieving fair value for data and sharing that value amongst NHS data contributors. The post-holder will be an integral member of the Thames Valley Secure Data Environment (TVS-SDE) commercialisation team and will deliver commercialisation activity for the SDE.
In respect of the Commercial Data and Innovation (‘CDI’) function:
• Business development and execution;
• Delivering a positive return on investment, with a preference towards recurrent financial gains;
• Achieving good value for money in respect of data and intellectual property commercialisation;
• Supporting a single gateway for commercialisation;
• Working with other teams to facilitate the translation of innovation into clinical use;
• Delivery of the commercialisation function within the Thames Valley and Surrey sub-national Secure Data Environment for Health Research (TVS-SDE), hosted by OUH.
