New Year – New Career Opportunity CHCP have an exciting apprenticeship opportunity, that would suit individuals wishing to achieve Health Care Professions (HCPC) registration and a degree qualification whilst earning a salary.
What is Podiatry? Podiatrists provide; advice, care, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a range of problems affecting the lower limb. Keeping mobile and retaining independence affects the quality of people’s lives.
Podiatrists play a pivotal part in reducing the risk of amputation, infection, pain, deformity and hospital admissions. Podiatrists work in both the NHS and independent sector, with opportunities to work in a range of environments and specialisms including wound care, diabetes, rheumatology, musculo- skeletal and podiatric surgery.
Podiatrists work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team. Podiatry is a very rewarding job; most students choose to study Podiatry for job satisfaction and career opportunities.

Degree apprenticeship duration is 2 - 4 years dependent on entry level. On successful completion of the Podiatry degree individuals will progress to a band 5 role.
Applicants must have Math's & English GCSE and the equivalent of 2 – 3 ‘A’ levels or be willing to work towards.
Main duties of the job
• To study towards a BSc hons degree in Podiatry
• To facilitate and assist the Podiatrist in the day-to-day running and delivery of Podiatry services.
• To maintain accurate clinical records
• To provide Footcare to service users in clinics, residential homes and home visits.
• To participate in clinical audit.
