Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a U18 Physiotherapist. In this role, you’ll provide physiotherapy support to all U18 and U19 Academy players. You’ll work closely with the U18 Lead Physiotherapist and the Head of Academy Physiotherapy, who you will also report into.
What will you be doing?
- Ensuring the health of all professional U18 youth players.
- Assist in the physiotherapeutic provision for all U18 players under the guidance and with the authority of the Head of Academy Physiotherapy to include musculoskeletal assessment and screening, injury diagnosis and the planning and implementation of rehab programs for all U18 academy players.
- Implement MSK injury prevention strategies to all U18 academy players.
- Liaise with football management staff in order to optimise youth player performance and overall health.
- Attend consultations with specialists to ensure that appropriate treatment decisions are made.
- Maintain contemporaneous medical notes to an excellent standard.
- Ensure high levels of professionalism and patient confidentiality at all times.
- Attend U18 matches (home and away) in order to provide pitch side first aid medical provision.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will have clinical experience within football or other elite sporting environments, with an in-depth knowledge of managing sporting injuries and successful rehabilitation. Your expertise will ensure that performance integration and adaptability are at the heart of supporting players.
You will have a strong understanding of collaboration and communication, whilst being a solutions first practitioner. Finally, you will ensure that all relevant player information is accurately maintained and up to date within the Insight database.
