Summary
Humly is working in partnership with a primary school in Preston to recruit a SEN Learning Support Assistant for a full-time role, supporting a pupil within a Year 3 class.
This role will run until Easter (March 2026), with a strong view to continue beyond this point. The school is seeking a committed and experienced educator who can provide consistent, nurturing support and help the pupil access learning within the classroom environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a residential or specialist setting, or strong primary SEN experience, and will be confident supporting a child with additional needs through structured routines and positive relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing
Providing targeted SEN support within a Year 3 classroom
Supporting engagement, confidence and access to learning
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team
Supporting consistency and routine throughout the school day
What You’ll Bring
Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs
Background in a residential, specialist or primary SEN setting (preferred)
A calm, patient and consistent approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
