As part of a ongoing growth our client is looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join our operations team.
We’re seeking a Transport Planner with proven experience managing complex road transport operations. You’ll be confident optimising routes, leading a small planning team, and keeping our network running seamlessly. Calm under pressure and meticulous in your approach, you’ll thrive in a role where every decision helps keep the operation moving.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Planning and optimising routes across a 40+ vehicle fleet
• Managing and supporting a team of coordinators in a 24/7 operation
• Communicating with drivers, customers, and colleagues throughout the day
• Monitoring live deliveries, resolving issues, and maintaining service performance
• Ensuring full compliance, efficiency, and delivery against operational KPIs
What You’ll Bring
• At least 3 years’ experience in transport planning (essential)
• A strong understanding of route management, compliance, and fleet efficiency
• Excellent communication and IT skills
• The ability to stay organised, proactive, and calm under pressure
• Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays
