We are seeking experienced Security Officers to join a well-established and professional team at a prestigious client site in York.​

This is a multifaceted role combining concierge responsibilities with core security duties, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and members of the public.

As part of ISS’s Total Facilities Management solution, you will work alongside a wider team including FM, cleaning, and maintenance colleagues.

​This position offers a structured shift pattern (Monday to Friday, between 06:30 and 20:30) with rotation for full coverage, consistent weekly hours, and opportunities for overtime.​

The Role

Provide a professional front-of-house service, meeting and greeting visitors and staff.

Manage access control, including ID checks, issuing passes, and monitoring entry points.

Conduct internal and external patrols, ensuring site safety and security.

Operate and monitor security systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarms.

Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, following site procedures.

Support Health & Safety by inducting visitors and ensuring compliance.

Complete all required documentation and handovers accurately and on time.

Collaborate with ISS colleagues and client partners to maintain a secure and welcoming environment.

About You

Previous security experience.

Valid SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor).

Strong customer service skills and clear communication abilities.

Good IT skills and familiarity with app-based systems.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Must meet vetting requirements (BS7858, BPSS, CTC) and have 5 years’ checkable UK residency and employment history.
