Summary
Location: Dunball Depot, Bridgwater - site-based 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent full-time 40 hours per week
Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 per annum + excellent benefits

What will you be responsible for?
As a Planned Works Supervisor, you'll oversee projects from development through to completion, driving timely execution and maintaining high standards throughout.
Your day to day will include:
-Assisting the Planned Works Manager in programming, managing and delivering maintenance works while supervising resources to ensure compliance with plans and quality standards.
-Building relationships with stakeholders including clients, the public, emergency services, and supply chain partners to maintain effective communication and service delivery.
-Fostering a positive Health and Safety culture through site inductions, briefings, and toolbox talks while ensuring all team members understand and follow safety protocols.
-Proactively undertaking site inspections to monitor compliance with quality, health and safety, and environmental standards.
-Overseeing daily operations including resource allocation, vehicle maintenance coordination, and material needs assessment to meet productivity targets.
-Supporting team development through performance management, training coordination, and nurturing a collaborative working environment.
What are we looking for?
This role of Planned Works Supervisor is ideal if you have:
-Experience working within the highways industry with knowledge of network operations and project delivery.
-Strong team leadership abilities with excellent communication skills across all levels.
-SSSTS and NRSWA qualifications desirable, with a willingness to work towards them if not already held.
