Summary
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Supervise and engage children in play and learning activities
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and secure environment
- Collaborate with other nursery practitioners to create a positive team dynamic
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a level 3 qualification
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting desired but not essential
- Knowledge of child development and the EYFS
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
