Summary
Humly is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Blackpool to recruit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a part-time PPA cover role, working approximately 25 hours per week.
This role will start from 19th January 2026 and initially run until 13th February 2026, with the potential to continue beyond this period. The successful candidate will be confident planning and delivering lessons and supporting learning across a range of year groups.
The role involves providing PPA cover across the school, requiring strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management and the ability to create an engaging and positive learning environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Planning and delivering lessons to cover PPA time
Providing classroom cover across different year groups
Managing behaviour and maintaining positive learning environments
Supporting pupil engagement and progress
Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff
What You’ll Bring
HLTA status or equivalent experience
Confidence planning and delivering lessons independently
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Flexibility working across different year groups
A proactive and professional approach

Temporary role covering a half-term placement, with potential to extend
Part-time hours (approximately 25 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday)
Enhanced DBS required (if required, Humly can support with an Enhanced DBS at a cost to the educator)
