Summary
We are representing a reputable Main Car Dealer client in Grays seeking to hire a highly qualified Vehicle Technician. This position offers a comprehensive and competitive package, ideal for experienced professionals committed to delivering excellent service and technical expertise.
Benefits:
- Basic salary up to £40,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
- Performance-based bonus, with an OTE reaching £50,000
- Monday to Friday working hours from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
- One in three Saturdays, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
- In-house and off-site training programmes
- Company pension scheme

Duties:
- Conduct maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on customer vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools
- Identify and troubleshoot faults efficiently and accurately
- Communicate technical issues and repair requirements clearly to customers
- Ensure high standards of service and customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
- Assist with additional tasks related to vehicle servicing and repairs as required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds or similar accepted)
- Valid UK manual driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment
- Strong customer service skills with a professional appearance
- Ability to adapt to changing workload demands and work in a fast-paced environment
- MOT Tester certification would be advantageous but is not essential
- Flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills
