We are seeking a high-caliber Freelance Project Manager to take full ownership of the Enabling Works package for a landmark development in central Leeds. This is a critical "ground-breaking" role, ensuring the site is remediated, secured, and serviced ahead of the main construction phase.

Key Responsibilities
  • Package Management: Lead the delivery of demolition, site clearance, bulk earthworks, and utility disconnections/diversions.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for Leeds City Council, Client and Company Directors

  • Compliance & Safety: Oversee strict health and safety protocols, environmental monitoring, and traffic management plans within a busy urban environment.

  • Commercial Oversight: Manage subcontractors, track variations, and ensure the package remains on budget and according to the master program.

  • Reporting: Provide regular progress updates to directors.

About you:

- Experienced PM with a background in either Main contracting or Civils at Tier 1 Civil/Infrastructure contractors

- Local Knowledge: Experience working within the Leeds planning and logistical landscape is highly desirable.

- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of UXO surveys, archaeology, contaminated land remediation, and S278/S38 agreements

- Ability to create a implement short term programmes
