Join Our Team as a Student Wellbeing, Safeguarding, and Engagement Advisor at Peterborough College.As our Student Wellbeing, Safeguarding & Engagement Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting a safe, inclusive, and positive experience for all our students. This is a diverse role with key areas of focus that may vary depending on the student profile and department needs.We are currently looking for someone to join the team with a focus on supporting the delivery of our Student Engagement Strategy, including the planning and delivery of student engagement activities and support for vulnerable learner groups. All aspects of the role are supported with training and coaching by experienced team members.You'll work closely with a dedicated team to provide:Positive Engagement: Build relationships with students, promote positive behavioursSafeguarding & Wellbeing: Be part of our safeguarding team, ensure student safety, and provide mental health support.Supporting Vulnerable Students: Contributing to the wrap-around support for Children in Care, Young Carers, Care Leavers, Young Parents and those with medical needsEnrichment & Support: Contribute to vibrant student life by supporting relevant well-being events, activities, and initiatives.What You Bring:Qualifications: Mental Health First Aid (Youth) and Level 2 Safeguarding qualification or commitment to achieve within 6 months. Any relevant qualifications that are appropriate such as mental health, learning support, working with young people, health and social care, mentoringExperience: Experience working with young people, adults and or vulnerable adults, and experience in safeguarding or child protection.Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and compassion.
