Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen on the medical wards at ELHT for the role of the HCA. It is to assist in maintaining the highest possible standard of care under the supervision of a Registered nurse. To maintain a tidy and welcoming environment for patients and relatives. The staff will be involved with many members of the MDT(Multi Disciplinary Team) .
The areas we are aiming to recruit in to are Medicine for Older People wards, Respiratory wards and acute medical wards. You will be working with the wider multi-disciplinary team, with a view of enhancing patient experience.
This recruitment event is for substantive posts. However, bank positions may be offered in some circumstances

Health care assistants are responsible for providing a range of personalized care for patients under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse including:
• assisting patients with personal hygiene,
• toileting,
• support patients nutritional and hydration needs,
• moving and handling,
• ensuring patient safety,
• providing the highest quality patient care
To support the productive operation of the ward environment by undertaking a range of non-clinical activities which contribute to the maintenance of a safe and clean environment
To act at all times in a manner that upholds the Trust values working as part of the ward team to ensure that patients and relatives receive Safe, Personal & Effective care.
