Summary
Breakfast & After School Club Playworker
Location: Tonbridge (based at Horsmonden Primary Academy, TN12)
Hours: 22 hours per week, Monday–Friday (mornings & afternoons)
Pay: £10.00 – £12.21 per hour
Contract: Permanent, term-time only
We are looking for a friendly, reliable Playworker to join our wraparound care team, supporting our breakfast and after-school clubs for primary-aged children.
This is a hands-on, active role where you will help create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for children at the start and end of their school day.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for stable, term-time hours that fit around other commitments.
What you will be doing
• Leading fun, creative and play-based activities
• Supervising children aged 4–11
• Supporting children’s wellbeing and positive behaviour
• Helping with daily set-up and tidy-up
• Making sure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed
• Serving snacks and encouraging healthy habits
• Working as part of a small, friendly team
What we are looking for
Essential:
• Aged 18 or over
• Experience working with children (paid or voluntary)
• A positive, caring and reliable attitude
• Confidence working as part of a team
• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
Desirable (but not essential):
• A childcare or playwork qualification
• First Aid, Safeguarding or Food Hygiene certificates
Full training will be provided.
