Key Responsibilities of this role include:
- Coordinate and monitor SEND provision, including EHCPs
- Advise staff on the graduated approach to SEND support
- Work with the SEND Provision Leader to deliver consistent, high-quality provision
- Partner with the Strategic Lead for SEND to promote an inclusive whole-school approach
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date SEND records and documentation
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers of pupils with SEND
- Act as the main liaison with external agencies and professionals
- Lead and deliver SEND-focused staff training and development
- Support the strategic development of SEND policy and practice
- Track progress and attainment of pupils with SEND and report to leaders and governors
- Promote an inclusive, nurturing ethos aligned with the school's Rights Respecting values
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for SEN Coordination (or a willingness to complete within
- three years of appointment, if not already held)
- Evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to SEND
- Successful teaching experience within a primary setting
- Experience of working with pupils with a range of SEND
- Experience of working collaboratively with staff, families and external
- agencies
