Summary
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Animal Clipper Repairer/Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for examining, repairing, and maintaining animal clippers and shearers used for grooming horses, cattle, sheep, and dogs. Your expertise will contribute to providing high-quality service to our customers, ensuring their equipment is in optimal working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Examine and repair animal clippers/shearers for various animals including horses, cattle, sheep, and dogs
Input accurate customer account details, repair quotations, and stock information into the computer system.
Maintain and file paperwork as required.
Pack equipment securely for dispatch when needed.
Communicate with customers by phone to provide quotes and update on repair status.
Sharpen clipping/shearing blades using a lapping machine.
Ensure all repair processes meet safety and quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience in animal clipper repairs or engineering qualifications with electrical product repair is prefered, however onsite training and day release to college could be arranged if you have electrical experience.
Knowledge of animal grooming equipment, including clippers and shearers, is preferred but not essential.
Strong computer skills for inputting customer details and managing accounts.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
