This is a fantastic opportunity to build your HR career within a values-driven education environment.

About the role
As the HR Assistant, you will be central to the smooth running of our recruitment and staffing processes. You will:

Provide end-to-end recruitment administration for a wide range of College roles

Act as a key point of contact for applicants, ensuring a positive and professional candidate experience

Coordinate interview and selection activities with managers and HR colleagues

Develop and manage the College’s cover staff register, ensuring compliance with safeguarding requirements

Allocate and communicate cover arrangements in response to staff absence

This is a varied role that suits someone who thrives on organisation, communication, and delivering a high standard of service.

About you
You will be professional, approachable, and highly organised, with a strong eye for detail and a genuine commitment to confidentiality and good practice. You will be comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines, and confident working with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will ideally bring:

Experience in an administrative role, preferably within HR or recruitment

Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A clear understanding of confidentiality and data protection

A customer-focused, reliable, and collaborative approach

Experience within an HR, recruitment, or education setting, knowledge of HR systems such as iTrent, or CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) would be advantageous, but not essential.
