Shift Pattern: 12 hr shifts 7am -7pm

Role Overview:
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be a key member of our compassionate team, supporting residents with their daily care needs. You’ll help with personal care, provide emotional support, and assist in promoting a safe and comfortable living environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for those who are passionate about elderly care and making a real difference in people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support residents with mobility, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Assist with feeding and ensuring residents receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, enhancing their quality of life.
• Monitor residents’ health, reporting any changes in condition to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
• Support the team in maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Participate in social and recreational activities to promote resident engagement.
• Adhere to all nursing home policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.

Key Requirements:
• Previous experience in a care setting is an advantage but not essential.
• A compassionate, caring, and patient nature.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently when required.
• A willingness to learn and undertake further training and development.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect residents' dignity.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings (if applicable).
• Care Certificate, NVQ, or similar qualification desirable but not essential.
