Summary
Clinical responsibility for assisting in the investigation, diagnosis and treatment, under consultant supervision, of patients within Acute Medicine. Expected to attend consultant ward rounds; present cases, and discuss the differential diagnosis and management; carry out appropriate practical skills with patients. Responsible for maintaining a full clinical record of patients admitted to the ward; required to produce a written summary of the admission at the time of discharge; will participate in audit data collection, and attend clinical governance / audit meetings. Provide middle grade support to the junior medical team. If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.50.
