Summary

We are looking for a reliable and motivate Bus Shunter to join our team in Oban, with an opportunity to progress into a PCV licence holder and bus driver role.

This is an excellent entry-point into the bus industry for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is keen to develop a long-term career in driving with West Coast Motors.

As a Bus Shunter, you will be responsible for safely moving buses around the depot and parking them up ready for the next day and cleaning the buses. You may also be required to undertake additional maintenance work around the yard.

What we're looking for:

  • A full UK driving licence (car licence essential)
  • A strong focus on safety and attention to detail
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends (working 5 days over 7)
  • A genuine interest in progressing to become a PCV Driver
  • Live within driving distance of Oban

Progression opportunity:

For the right candidate, this role will provide you with the opportunity to become a PCV Driver whilst working at the same time and build up your experience driving busses. Full support and training will be provided.*
