Your new school
A Children's Centre which deals with the local community and runs a number if children parent groups is looking for a Receptionist/Administrator. The role would be a long term contract until they recruit to the permanent position and would be Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
Your new job
You will be responsible for managing a busy reception desk whilst ensuring safeguarding procedures are adhered too. You will also be dealing with initial enquiries and assessing eligibility for funding applications whilst processing referrals. The role will also entail minuting team meetings and updating data on inhouse systems.
You will have strong IT skills as will be using multiple inhouse systems and have strong communication skills.
What you'll need to succeed
For this administrator job, you will need to have excellent communication skills and telephone manner with the ability to work in a pressured environment as well as an understanding of the importance of 'Child Protection and Safeguarding' issues when working on a school reception. You will also have recent experience working as a school receptionist with satisfactory references. Any person working in a school must hold an enhanced DBS check.
