Crynodeb
A friendly and sociable young man with Cerebral Palsy, a learning disability, and epilepsy is looking to employ two Personal Assistants (PAs) to provide support throughout the week. Each PA will work 40 hours per week, and support will always be delivered by two people together due to moving and handling requirements.
He enjoys outdoor activities, visiting parks and cafés, baking, and exploring his local community. The aim of having two PAs is to help him access new opportunities, increase social interaction, and safely provide support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Personal care and daily living tasks
- Safe moving and handling (two-to-one support required)
- Assistance with wheelchair transfers
- Support with meals and activities both at home and in the community
- Continuous supervision due to ongoing epilepsy management
About him:
I’m a friendly young man living in Alfreton who enjoys getting out and about, spending time outdoors, visiting parks and cafés, and baking at home. I have Cerebral Palsy, a learning disability, and epilepsy, and I use a wheelchair, so I need support from two people to help with personal care, moving, and transfers.
My epilepsy isn’t currently under control, so I need constant supervision, but I don’t let that stop me from enjoying life and trying new things. I’m looking for Personal Assistants who can help me explore my interests, build confidence, and get involved in more community and activities.
If you’re caring, reliable, and enjoy helping others live life to the fullest, I’d love to have you join my team.
