Summary
Starting in December 2025, a welcoming and professional family based in Padbury, Buckinghamshire is looking for a kind, reliable, and organised nanny to care for their three cheerful and energetic boys (aged 7, 4, and 1).
This is a Tuesday to Thursday role (36 hours total, 07.30-19.30), offering consistency and a good work-life balance for the right person. This is a sole-charge role.
Mum and Dad work a hybrid setup (around 30% in the office and 60% from home). Dad works away on Wednesdays and Thursdays, so those days are when they need the most hands-on support.
Their eldest child is a bright, curious seven-year-old who will be homeschooled with a tutor coming to the house. He benefits from gentle structure and extra patience, so someone with a calm and understanding approach would be ideal. Previous SEN experience is welcomed, but not essential.
The middle child (aged 4) and youngest (aged 1) attend school/childminder during the day, and the nanny will be responsible for their care after school and in the evenings.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for the children
• Supporting the eldest during homeschooling (coordinating with the tutor, helping with activities)
• School/nursery drop-offs and pick-ups (own car required – duty mileage paid)
• Fun and enriching indoor/outdoor activities (Lego, jigsaws, games, nature walks, crafts)
• Outings to groups and classes with the eldest child during the day
• Preparing healthy, home-cooked meals for the children
• Helping with children’s laundry and keeping shared areas tidy
• Light household support (e.g., emptying the dishwasher, occasional errands) – the family employs a weekly cleaner
• Supporting homework, dinner, and bath time routines
• Coordinating handovers with other childminders/after-school care providers
The family is open to shaping the role to fit the right person and can offer flexibility and a welcoming home in return.
