About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs across a range of year groups in a welcoming and inclusive primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in children's lives.
You will work closely with the SENDCo and classroom teachers to deliver tailored interventions, ensuring each child receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEND needs
- Assist with classroom activities and personalised learning plans
- Support pupils with literacy and numeracy development
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Work collaboratively with the SENDCo to implement strategies
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND
- Knowledge of phonics teaching, ideally Read Write Inc (RWI)
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach
- Ability to work as part of a team
