Summary
Landmarc Support Services is proud to offer a rare and exciting opportunity to join our team as a Training Area Operative, supporting one of the UK’s most advanced and immersive military training environments at Copehill Down and Rollestone Camp.
Working alongside the British Army and Defence Infrastructure Organisation, you’ll help keep cutting edge training facilities operational, safe and ready for troops preparing for modern urban operations.

Salary
- £26,877.57 + £1,127.50 Weekend Allowance p/a
Location
- Primary: Copehill Down, Warminster Training Area (BA12 0LP)
- Occasional: Rollestone Camp, Shrewton (SP3 4UZ)
Hours
- Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend work (notice provided)
- Hours: 07:30–16:00 (Mon–Thu), 07:30–15:30 (Fri)
Main Responsibilities
- Keep training areas operational by maintaining safe, clean, mission‑ready spaces
- Deliver general grounds and facility maintenance across the training estate
- Complete tasks including grass cutting, vegetation control and basic DIY where needed
- Support training delivery through handover checks, safety briefings and troop sign in
- Operate plant and equipment with full training provided
- Use digital tools including tablets and the after action review system
- Maintain accurate records by completing routine checks and updating work orders
- Uphold strict safety standards across all activity
What we’re looking for:
- Practical DIY and grounds maintenance skills
- Confidence using IT systems
- Comfortable around loud noises (simulated firing, explosions, vehicles)
- Comfortable working in an outdoor, multi‑site environment
- Flexible and able to manage changing work priorities at short notice
- Strong communication skills with ability to follow procedures
- Professional, safety-focused mindset
- Full UK driving licence as travel required
