Summary
Royal Holloway is advancing its hybrid cloud strategy, combining expansion into public cloud services with a modernised on-premises data centre powered, by HPE GreenLake. This bimodal approach supports both traditional IT services and exciting cloud-native innovations.
We are seeking a Head of Hybrid Cloud to continue to lead this transformation. This senior role will shape and deliver a unified operating model across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring security, scalability, and resilience. You will manage a skilled technical team, oversee strategic planning, and provide expert guidance to senior leadership on infrastructure priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and manage hybrid cloud infrastructure and services.
• Align cloud and on-premises operations into a single coherent model.
• Lead vendor relationships and ensure compliance with evolving cybersecurity standards.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native services while maintaining critical legacy systems.
• Develop and mentor the Hybrid Cloud team to meet future demands.
• Actively manage the Microsoft 365 stack, including Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and associated Microsoft technologies.
• Be the technical lead on our strategic identity management project.
About You:
• Proven experience in hybrid cloud strategy and enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization (VMware), Microsoft 365, Azure and IAM systems and processes.
• Skilled in team leadership, vendor management, and technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to balance innovation with operational stability.
