Summary
SEMH Nurture Teacher - Stockport
January 2026 start
Prospero Teaching is looking for a Nurture Teacher for a January 2026 start. You will be responsible for teaching a balanced Primary Curriculum to Year 7 to 11 students who need that little extra support and guidance. This timetable would be suitable for a qualified teacher who is looking to focus on smaller groups, as opposed to 30 students.
The school is a small but outstanding Specialist Provision and you will be teaching groups of up to 6 or 7 students and you will be ably supported by skilful learning assistants. Facilities are outstanding and include sensory rooms, a nature garden, and access to a protected nature trail which is perfect for outdoor education during the summer months!
The school offers GCSE subjects for its students and prides itself on offering a supportive, calm environment for learning.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role
- Either qualified to teach Primary KS2 or Secondary KS3/4 with relevant experience of Nurture Groups
- Previous experience working in a UK school
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
