Summary

1:1 Teaching Assistant - Secondary PRU - Greenwich - Available ASAP
- 1:1 Teaching Assistant required for a Secondary PRU in the London Borough of Greenwich
- 1:1 Teaching Assistant to have experience supporting a female student
- 1:1 Teaching Assistant to be available to start ASAP
- 1:1 Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- 1:1 Teaching Assistant with an enhanced DBS on the update service

The Role - 1:1 Teaching Assistant
- Ability to form a trusting bond with a young female student
- Supporting a female student with complex needs spanning multiple areas of development
- Experience in supporting students with difficulties in processing speed, memory and basic literacy
- Experience in breaking down information using a variety of different methods in order to support learning - ability or willingness to learn how to do this as and when needed, could be in the moment if student experiences difficulty
- Proficient in using multi sensory methods and deploying sensory intervention when needed
- The ability to recognise when student need intervention and ability to distract / defuse / de-escalate prior to event
- Flexible and adaptable
- Strong ability to advocate for student and use initiative
- Support social interactions as part of student's ongoing progression
- Staff member to be intuitive and able to learn student's triggers

The School - 1:1 Teaching Assistant
