Support Worker - Female
Pay rate: Weekdays - £12.21 per hour, Sleep-Ins - £9.79 per hour
Shift Pattern:Week 1 - Friday 1400-2200 / Week 2 - Thursday 2145-0800 (Sleep-In), Friday 0800-2200

Come join this individual with their busy week, they love going to the gym, going to Headway and day trips out are always welcome! When at home, arts and crafts are a must as well as the game Rummikub, which they are excellent at, so get some practice in! To make the most of trips out and about, we need people who are local to Waterlooville, know the area and can drive a manual car, holding a FULL UK Driving Licence. They need prompting and support with medication, appointments and being out in the community. They are very mobile and uses a walking frame for assistance if needed. They can be a bit forgetful with names and faces so may need a gentle reminder from time to time

Enriching activities will be an important factor in your support, and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to truly make a difference to this person’s life. You will also need to bring previous experience with you in the following:

  • Brain Injury
  • Memory


What will your shift involve?

In this role, you will be providing high-quality care on a 1:1 basis, ensuring that the individual you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs.Your responsibilities will include engaging with them in meaningful activities and taking them out in the community to promote their social interaction and well-being.Additionally, you will support with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment that fosters comfort and independence.Clear and confident communication in their preferred manner will be essential to building a strong and trusting relationship.
