Summary

A leading independent broker is seeking a commercially minded professional to help establish and grow its presence in the Midlands. This is a strategic role offering autonomy and the opportunity to shape a regional growth plan over time.

The focus is on building networks and generating new business, particularly through introducers and strategic partnerships. While there will be some warm leads and internal support, success will come from your ability to prospect, network, and convert opportunities into long-term relationships.

Who we’re looking for:

- You may come from a Trade Finance, Invoice Finance, or broader commercial finance background, or simply be a natural networker with a proven track record in business development.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to engage with senior decision-makers.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a close-knit team.
- Ideally, 3–5 years’ experience in a client-facing role where networking and conversion were key.

What’s on offer:

- Competitive salary (£45k–£65k) plus car allowance, bonus, and full benefits.
- Hybrid working with Birmingham as the base and occasional travel to London and the South.
- The chance to take ownership of a growth area and, longer term, build a team and lead the region.

If you’re ambitious, commercially savvy, and excited by the idea of shaping a new market, we’d love to hear from you. Get in touch for a confidential conversation.
