We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN or RNLD) with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You'll be working 42 hours a week (Days, Nights and Alternative weekends) at Cygnet Pindar House. Cygnet Pindar House is a hospital setting with male patients affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease like Huntingtons Disease, a caring and longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms. The service is a modern purpose-built facility, designed specifically to provide a clinically-led evidence-based neuropsychiatric pathway for individuals presenting with behaviours that challenge. Our focus is to create a therapeutic rich environment to engage the men in our care and offer them the opportunity to maximise their independence. Our in-house Neuropsychiatry interdisciplinary team are able to support those with complex physical health needs and we have bedrooms located on the ground floor for men with mobility impairments. Our person-centred approach puts the individual at the centre of their care and discharge planning. The service offers a wide rang e of activities and facilities to promote independent function. Positive behaviour goals are focused on discharge planning to support service users to return to community living either with support or independently. Your day to day - Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing Under NMC guidelines Ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals. Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines. You are Open, compassionate, honest & resilient Newly Qualified or Experienced RMN with a current Pin Number Capable to maintain documentation and undertake audits Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & have an understanding of latest nursing practices Able to deputise in a clinical lead role Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk Helping to empower & support service user independence.
