What you'll do
You’ll adhere to the Bank’s risk appetite, policy standards and all relevant external laws, regulations and industry guidance across the sector. You’ll also deliver strategic intelligence services which identify any potential risks and issues that would impact the bank, contribute to the development of the team, and coach colleagues as needed.
It’ll also be your responsibility to:
- Lead the team to produce a wide variety of intelligence products and services both written and verbal, using a range of existing and emerging sources, identifying any potential risks and issues that would impact the bank
- Oversee the delivery of a range of high-quality strategic intelligence and Specialised Enhanced Due Diligence (SEDD) products and services for a variety of audiences including senior managers and executives
- Lead and drive SEDD strategy to support both the wider team and Bank’s strategic initiatives
- Provide quality strategic intelligence and SEDD investigations and reports on existing on threats or client connections that meet the needs of our stakeholders
- Maintain and expand a network of internal and external contacts to deliver intelligence and SEDD products and services
- Provide coaching and training during research and report review process to team members
The skills you'll need
You’ll need strong managerial experience, excellent analytical, investigative and research skills and the ability to produce high quality intelligence and SEDD reports. You should also have experience of working within an intelligence team, financial crime or similar specialist function in a financial services environment.
You’ll also need:
- Experience of leading and coaching teams to deliver high quality output
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills particularly in terms of relationship management
- Experience of undertaking research, reviewing research conducted by others, and reviewing products produced
- A background of understanding and interpreting the needs of internal business and translating this into tangible deliverables
- An understanding of relevant existing and proposed legislation in relation to intelligence and SEDD requests
- Experience of or interest in international relations and geopolitics, or delivering products that have an international dimension would be preferred
