Food and Beverage Technical Manager

From sunny seaside lunches to cosy evening meals, you’ll be the guardian of our food and drink safety, quality, and integrity across our 38 beautiful holiday parks. In this role, you’ll ensure every ingredient, recipe, and menu meets the highest standards, while supporting allergen management, technical approvals, and product specifications

What you'll be doing:
- Maintaining compliance and quality standards – Managing up-to-date product specifications, labelling accuracy, due diligence documents, and recipe approvals, working closely with suppliers to ensure safety, legality, and quality.
- Overseeing supplier performance and audits – Conducting risk assessments, settin audit strategies, coordinating 3rd-party audits, and working with suppliers on action plans for continuous improvement.
- Investigating and resolving issues – Leading root cause analysis for compliance breaches, managing product quality incidents, supporting incident management, and driving positive resolutions to mitigate risks.
- Collaborating across the business – Partnering with procurement, food development, marketing, health & safety, operations, and training teams to embed standards and share best practice.
- Staying ahead of change – Monitoring and implementing new legislation, maintaining policies and procedures, producing reports, and providing technical guidance to support strategic decisions.

What we'd like you to bring:
- Education & Knowledge – Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in Food or Bio Science, with strong current knowledge of food law, labelling legislation, HACCP, BRC, and quality systems.
- Technical Expertise – Proven experience in technical roles within manufacturing, retail, or foodservice, including reviewing and approving specifications, menu copy, retail pack copy, and due diligence documents.
- Skills & Competencies – Excellent communication, numeracy, and attention to detail; confident using Microsoft Office and web-based specification systems; able to work independently or collaboratively under pressure.
- Personal Attributes – Good judgement, influence, and drive; personable and solutions-focused, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and supplier technical teams.
- Additional Advantages – Driving licence, experience with Fourth Recipe/Menu Engineering (Starchef), hosting audits, and conducting internal or supplier audits.
