An exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Draughtsperson / CAD Technician to join our team at NE&C Windows and Doors Limited, supporting aluminium window and door projects from design through to production within a growing and well-established business.

SALARY: £36,000 to £40,000 per annum + Benefits (includes Free On-Site Parking)

LOCATION: Washington, Tyne and Wear, North East England – Fully Office Based

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent


JOB OVERVIEW

Due to continued growth, NE&C Windows and Doors Limited is looking to recruit a skilled Project Draughtsperson / CAD Technician to support an expanding portfolio of aluminium window and door projects.

As a Project Draughtsperson / CAD Technician you will be responsible for producing accurate architectural and production drawings using AutoCAD and Logikal, working closely with clients, architects, and internal teams to meet agreed timescales.

The Project Draughtsperson / CAD Technician will play a key role in ensuring cutting lists, production documentation, and installer packs are accurate and aligned with company KPIs, while also supporting surveys and attending project meetings when required.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Project Draughtsperson / CAD Technician include:

• Producing CAD Drawings: Creating detailed architectural and production drawings using AutoCAD and Logikal

• Client & Architect Liaison: Coordinating with project clients and architects to agree and secure drawing approvals

• Production Documentation: Preparing accurate cutting lists and production information in line with company KPIs

• Project Meetings: Attending meetings and representing NE&C Windows and Doors Limited professionally

• Site Surveys: Carrying out site surveys as required to support project accuracy

• O&M Manuals: Ensuring operation and maintenance manuals are completed for each project

• Installer Packs: Producing clear and comprehensive installer packs for site teams


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience producing CAD drawings within the aluminium window and door sector

• Proven experience using AutoCAD for technical and production drawings

• Experience using Logikal or similar industry-specific software

• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Confident communication skills when liaising with clients, architects, and internal teams

• A professional and proactive approach to work
