Crynodeb

At Dimensions, your hard work doesn't go unnoticed. Guided by integrity and respect, we'll reward you with benefits that truly make a difference in your life and your wellbeing. From financial peace of mind to moments of recognition that make you proud, we'll value you every step of the way. Rooted in partnership, we believe that when we take care of you, you can keep making everyday matter - for the people we support and for yourself.

About the Role

- Support Worker

- Part time contracts

- Southend, Essex

You will be supporting six people who live in individual flats within one building. They are a lively and sociable group, three men and three women, who enjoy being active and involved in their community. The home is currently based in Canvey Island, but due to essential building works, support will take place in Southend for approximately one year before returning to Canvey. If you live in Southend, there may also be future opportunities in another home in Rochford once the move back to Canvey happens.

They love going shopping, visiting local clubs, attending Hadleigh training centre, going to the gym, and enjoying community events like coffee mornings and fetes. They also enjoy theatre trips, holidays, and group events, and they take great pride in their home, which has a garden and summer house.

You'll play an important role in supporting people to live life their way. This may include providing personal care. Everyone you support is independent, though two use frames and one may need a wheelchair for longer distances. Most manage their own medication, with a little support for one person. You'll also help make mealtimes enjoyable by supporting with planning, shopping, and preparation, ensuring choice and independence are at the heart of everything you do.

Shifts are varied, with core hours typically running from 7:00am to 2:30pm or 2:30pm to 10:00pm. There are additional personalised 1:1 hours that vary depending on individual needs. Weekend work is usually every other weekend.

About You

We're looking for someone patient, dynamic, and friendly, who can offer reassurance and adapt to change. Family involvement is very important, so you'll need to be comfortable communicating with relatives and supporting those relationships. You'll need to bring energy and positivity to the role, as there's a lot happening with building works.

- Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs.

- 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays - pro rata)
