Summary
Service Engineer
Bedford
Field Service Engineer with mechanical bias required a for a permanent mobile role covering bedford and surrounding areas.
You will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of a range of plant equipment for the recycling industry.
The role:
- Travelling to customer sites to undertake service, repair and maintenance of equipment
- Installation and commissioning of new equipment on customer sites
- Undertaking refurbishment of machinery
- Providing face to face customer support and training when required
- Electrical and hydraulic system maintenance
- Machine refurbishment to high standards
- Slinging, lifting, and safe handling of heavy equipment
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
The person:
- Mechanical bias with confident electrical skills and the ability to weld
- Happy to strip down, refurbish and rebuild heavy plant equipment
- Previous experience with hydraulic equipment is essential
- Excellent communication skills happy to talk to, support and train small groups of people
- Full (ideally clean) licence
- Confident diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently
