Summary
A lot of your interactions with customers will be on the telephone, so you will need to be a good listener to give our customers an excellent service whenever they contact the Income team to discuss their rent account. You will also need to keep accurate records of the contact you have with each customer on our systems.
This is a busy front-line team which makes a real difference to the lives of our customers. You will be working as part of a supportive team, and you will be given fantastic training and mentoring. We know the early days of a new role will be challenging however we give you all the support you need to make you feel comfortable and have the knowledge and skills to support our customers in the best way.
What are some things we need from you?You will need to have experience of working closely with customers in a customer focussed environment and ideally an understanding of welfare benefits or money management advice, although this is not essential as training will be given. This role is well suited to someone with the ability to show empathy and with great listening skills.
Experience in the housing sector would be desirable but applicants from other sectors will also be considered.
Where will you be working?You'll work within a rotating shift pattern between 8:30 am and 5.00pm and while the role is home-based, frequent travel to our office at Birmingham Business Park is required. Ideally, you'll be within a 60-minute commute of our Birmingham Business Park office.
