Summary
Our brand-new client, based in Wisbech is seeking a Grounds Operative to join them working on a part time permanent basis (15 hours per week) working hours to be confirmed but during the day. (this role is term time plus three weeks) Additional hours may be required at times.
As a Grounds Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining outdoor spaces by performing horticultural tasks like mowing, planting, and pruning; operating machinery; managing litter and debris; ensuring safety; and sometimes handling basic landscaping, irrigation, and hard surface upkeep, ensuring areas like playgrounds and sports fields are clean, safe, and visually appealing.
To be considered for the role of Grounds Operative, you will have previous and relevant experience in a similar role, be physically fit and in good health, you will be expected to undertake a DBS check as part of your employment. You will have excellent communications skills and be enthusiastic and hard working.
