All our work aims to create space for people to discover Jesus, experience his love, and find fullness of life in him.This role is central to enabling missional growth, supporting the delivery of our five mission priorities, and ensuring our programmes, people, and resources flourish.Key Responsibilities:Contribute to the development and delivery of the corps’ mission objectives, helping ensure programmes, resources and activities support the flourishing of people and the wider community.Facilitate Christian discipleship, worship and pastoral support, including leading prayer, supporting group worship, and modelling a consistent Christian lifestyle.Build strong relationships within the local community, representing the corps among local authorities, charities, faith groups and programme participants to meet community needs and strengthen mission impact.Manage an effective volunteer programme, ensuring volunteers are appropriately recruited, trained, supported and supervised, and that all safeguarding and Health & Safety requirements are met to the highest standard.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:A strong, vibrant Christian faithExperience in community-based workKnowledge of Safeguarding and Health & Safety requirementsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience leading and supporting volunteersGood organisational skillsCompetent use of ITThis role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
