About the role…

Due to business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a SHEQ Advisor to join our team. You’ll provide guidance on compliance with SHEQ management systems and legislative requirements, while coaching and mentoring employees on best practices.

This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Wakefield office, with some travel across Yorkshire and hybrid working available.

As a SHEQ Advisor you will…

Drive a positive SHEQ culture across divisions, depots, and sites

Act as an ambassador for SHEQ, delivering innovative solutions to operational challenges

Develop and implement policies, procedures, management systems, and risk controls

Work closely with managers, clients, and stakeholders to achieve SHEQ objectives and continuous improvement

Monitor performance against Occupational Health & Safety Plans

Conduct site visits, audits, and inspections, providing feedback and guidance on corrective actions

About you…

You will have a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety along with IOSH Membership. Experience in a similar role is key, and it would be beneficial if you had industry knowledge but this isn't essential! You will be motivated, a fantastic communicator and keen to provide your HSEQ knowledge and expertise to the business. As this role requires some travel you will need to have a full UK driving licence.
