About the Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic, engaging, and compassionate care assistant to support children, young people, and vulnerable adults in and around Chesterfield. You'll be:

• Using alternative communication methods such as Makaton, visual aid symbols, and other prompts
• Supporting clients who may be non-verbal or have limited communication abilities
• Managing challenging behaviour with patience and understanding
• Transporting clients and colleagues in your own car to activities and appointments
• Following care plans and maintaining accurate records

Essential Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence and own car for business use
• Right to work in the UK without needing employer support
• At least 6 months paid care experience in the UK
• Comfortable providing personal care
• Flexibility essential - varied hours required to meet clients' needs
• Reliable, compassionate, and committed to excellent care

Desirable:

• Working with children

• Valid training in Epilepsy/Seizure management and Buccal Midazolam administration
• Experience with alternative communication methods (Makaton, visual aids)
• Experience supporting clients with challenging behaviour
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care

What We Offer:

• Up to £14.00 per hour (includes holiday pay)
• Specialist complex care training including epilepsy and Buccal Midazolam
• 24/7 clinical support from our dedicated team
• Staff referral scheme (up to £250 per referral)
