Location: Halifax
Salary: £56,000pa

Employment Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday (48 hours per week)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join a well-established and professional team of qualified HGV Technicians. This role offers long-term stability, competitive pay, and the chance to work on a varied fleet of specialist vehicles and equipment.
Role Overview
Working independently to prepare vehicles for customer handovers and pre-delivery inspections to a high standard
Carrying out 6-week inspections and MOT preparation
Testing, commissioning, and repairing hook-loader and skip-loader equipment
Completing repairs on lorry loader cranes
Attending customer sites and local breakdowns to carry out minor repairs
Ensuring the rental fleet is maintained in excellent working condition
Required Skills & Qualifications
Level 3 qualification in HGV Mechanics
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
Ability to work independently and use own initiative
Experience carrying out LOLER testing on skip and hook equipment
Familiarity with a range of HGV body types
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
A proactive, team-oriented and solution-focused approach
Excellent multitasking skills
Desirable Skills
HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
Experience working with hydraulic systems and lorry loader cranes
