SPECIALIST PHYSIOTHERAPIST | Band 6 | £38,682 - £46,580 per annum (pro rata) We would also be happy to consider a Developing Specialist role at Band 5. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Specialist Physiotherapy Delivery: Provide expert physiotherapy interventions for patients with palliative care needs across in-patient, day patient, outpatient and community settings. Holistic, Person-Centred Care: Champion a rehabilitative palliative approach, ensuring patients and their families receive tailored, compassionate support in line with personalised care plans. Multidisciplinary Team Integration: Act as a key member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), collaborating with nursing, medical, therapy and social care professionals to support seamless care delivery. Service Planning & Improvement: Contribute to the development, auditing and evaluation of physiotherapy services, identifying opportunities for innovation, growth and best practice. Leadership & Supervision: Line manage designated staff and volunteers, supervise students, and support the professional development of therapy team members. Teaching & Knowledge Sharing: Deliver education to patients, families, colleagues and wider networks, including self-care techniques and physiotherapy-based training. Quality, Safety & Governance: Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with HCPC and hospice policies; contribute to safeguarding, clinical governance and service quality standards.
